The top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six round, where they will be pooled into two groups of six. The sixteen teams are divided into four groups. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in January 2021 but was pushed due to COVID-19. This is a momentous occasion for women's cricket, and fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the start of the tournament. Spanning 41 matches, this tournament will be the first of its kind to be held in the 20-over format, as opposed to the 50-over format of the men's tournament. The inaugural Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup will kick off in South Africa on January 14, culminating in a thrilling final on January 29.
